Sarah Senter Luikart, L.Ac.
A native Austinite and mother of two boys, I have a BA in Psychology & hold a Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine degree from AOMA Institute of Integrative Medicine (2005), with post-graduate studies at the Chengdu University of TCM in Sichuan, China. In addition to practicing advanced styles of acupuncture, I have been certified in Applied Clinical Nutrition since 2012. In 2023, I enrolled in the St. Edward's University Masters of Counseling program with the hope of eventually combining my knowledge of Eastern medicine with psychotherapy. Each year, I pursue continuing education with top professionals in my field. I am currently finishing my Intermediate training year in Somatic Experiencing Therapy (2023), a trauma & stress therapy developed by Peter Levine, Ph.D. My passion for whole foods and healthy eating led me to create Medicine Kitchen - a branch of my practice devoted to food & dietary therapy, natural home remedies, and support for healthy living. I have a great interest in the body-mind-spirit connection and merging therapies that address all of these aspects of ourselves.
I believe that Chinese medicine offers the best solution for your long-term health and longevity - and if you are looking for guidance in getting healthy and feeling your best - see what it has to offer! My practice offers the following to all who walk through the door: a compassionate approach to healing, a safe & honest environment, a philosophy that addresses the physical, mental, emotional, and sustainable aspects of health, and advanced skills in the treatment of gut/digestive issues, chronic pain, anxiety, stress & trauma healing, and the motherhood experience. I sincerely look forward to helping you.
2023: Not currently accepting new acupuncture clients at this time.
